Properties: BCDMH is a white or off-white crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water and soluble in a variety of organic solvents. It has a chlorine odor and decomposes at 160°C, producing irritating and toxic fumes. It is hygroscopic and partially decomposes upon absorption, reacting in water to form hypobromous and hypochlorous acids. BCDMH can be further processed into granules and tablets. It is stable when dry but readily decomposes when exposed to moisture.
