Cyclohexanone Applications
1. It is a raw material for the production of caprolactam and adipic acid, used as a solvent and diluent for paints, inks, synthetic resins, synthetic rubber, and also as a leather degreasing agent.
2. It is an important chemical raw material and the main intermediate for the manufacture of nylon, caprolactam and adipic acid.
3. It is an important industrial solvent, such as for paints, especially for paints containing nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride polymers and their copolymers or methacrylate polymers.
4. It is an excellent solvent for organophosphorus insecticides and their various analogs and other pesticides. It can be used as a dye solvent, a viscous solvent for piston aviation lubricants, and a solvent for grease, wax and rubber.
5. It is used as a homogenizer for silk dyeing and fading, a degreasing agent for metal polishing, wood coloring and paint, and cyclohexanone can be used for film removal, decontamination and stain removal.
6. Used as a solvent for fiber, resin, rubber, paraffin, shellac and DDT, in organic synthesis, it can dissolve complexes formed by many elements and organic reagents, and is used for the determination of bismuth and the extraction of rare metals uranium, thorium, cobalt and titanium.
