Formaldehyde dimethylacetal Applications
1. Used for the production of cation exchange resins and solvents.
2. Mainly used in the production of anion effect exchange resin, also used as solvent and special fuel. Its solubility is stronger than ether and acetone, and methanol and azeotrope can dissolve nitrocellulose with high nitrogen content. However, because its vapor has strong anesthetic, it is not suitable for use as a general solvent, and is usually used as a special acoustic solvent. It is also used in the manufacture of fragrances, the production of artificial resins, which are used as reaction media for the Grignard reaction and the Repa (synthetic) reaction.
