Molecular Formula: C3H5ClO
Chemical structure: A three-membered ring containing an oxygen atom (an epoxide) and a chloromethyl group attached to one of the carbons in the ring.

Molecular Weight: 92.52
CAS NO.: 106-89-8
Density: 1.183
Boiling point: 115-117 ºC
Melting point: -57ºC
Flashing point: 28 ºC
Appearance: Colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor.
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, miscible soluble in alcohol, ether, carbon tetrachloride, benzene.
Raw materials: propylene and glycerol
Properties: Volatile, unstable, colorless, oily liquid with a chloroform-like odor and is toxic.
Storage: Keep this stuff in a cool, breezy warehouse, away from fire and heat. Don’t let the temperature go over 30℃. Store it away from acids, bases, and food chemicals—no mixing allowed. Use safe lighting and ventilation. Avoid any tools that can spark. Make sure the storage area has equipment for leaks and proper containment materials.
Safety Protection: Highly toxic, can be absorbed by the skin, irritating the skin and mucous membranes. At higher concentrations, it has an anesthetic effect. In case of poisoning, there are symptoms such as eye stinging, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, tearing, coughing, fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, nausea, etc. In severe poisoning, it can cause anesthetic symptoms and even damage to the lungs, liver, and kidneys. Operators should wear protective equipment. In addition, epichlorohydrin has a strong tendency to self-polymerize and should not be heated in an open flame to prevent the container from bursting. When used as a reagent for reaction, it should be diluted with an inert solvent and added slowly.
About Us: With over many years as a certified Epichlorohydrin & ECH manufacturer, we combine innovation with stringent production standards to deliver high-performance product.
