Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide CAS 7722-84-1

Sinochem is a major Hydrogen peroxide supplier. Meanwhile, our firm staffs a group of experts devoted to your development of China Hydrogen peroxide.

Hydrogen peroxide, commonly used as a topical antiseptic, arises within aerobic cells as an inherent consequence of oxidative metabolism. Its genesis is not solely confined to respiration; enzymatic processes within peroxisomes, mitochondria, and other subcellular structures also contribute to its production.

  • Strong Oxidizing Agent – Effective for disinfection, bleaching, and chemical synthesis.
  • Eco-Friendly Decomposition – Breaks down into water and oxygen, leaving no harmful residues.
  • Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant – Kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.

Hydrogen Peroxide Description

NAME: Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)

Synonyms: Dioxidane / Perhydroxic acid / Hydrogen dioxide

Molecular Formula: H2O2

Molecular Weight: 34.01

CAS NO.: 7722-84-1

Density: 1.4±0.1 g/cm3

Boiling point: 150.2±9.0 °C at 760 mmHg

Melting point: -33 °C

Flashing point: 107°C

Appearance: Colorless transparent liquid with a faint special odor.

Properties: Colorless and transparent liquid. H2O2 is a very weak acid and a strong oxidant. High concentrations of hydrogen peroxide can burn organic matter when in contact with it, and can explode when reacting with manganese dioxide.

Package: 200kg per drum

Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃. Keep the container sealed. Store separately from flammable (combustible) materials, reducing agents, active metal powders, etc., and avoid mixed storage. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate containment materials.

Safety Protection: In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves and goggles or mask. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical attention immediately.

About Us: With over many years as a certified Hydrogen peroxide manufacturer, we combine innovation with stringent production standards to deliver high-performance product.

Dioxidane Applications

  1. Medical disinfection: Due to the characteristics of H2O2 being less irritating (compared to alcohol), highly effective, fast-acting and non-toxic, 3% hydrogen peroxide solution can be used as an oxidative disinfectant. When encountering organic matter, it can decompose and produce oxygen under the action of catalase, thereby playing the role of sterilization, deodorization, decontamination and hemostasis. It can also destroy the anaerobic environment in which tetani bacteria breed, thereby preventing the occurrence of tetanus symptoms. It can also be used for anti-inflammatory or cleaning of external otitis, tonsillitis, emergency trauma debridement, etc. Accelerated hydrogen peroxide (AHP) is a patented disinfectant that has higher bactericidal efficiency than standard hydrogen peroxide at low concentrations (usually < 2%) and is commonly used for surface disinfection in places such as hospitals and dental clinics.
  2. Oxygen preparation: Since it is easy to decompose, oxygen is prepared in the laboratory by adding manganese dioxide catalyst to hydrogen peroxide solution.
  3. Forensic investigation: Biological cells contain catalase, which can catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Forensic doctors can roughly determine the time of death of organisms based on this. In addition, luminescent reagents that can be used to detect blood stains will only emit light after being treated with oxidants. Usually, a mixed aqueous solution of H2O2 and a hydroxide base is used as an exciter.
  4. Dyeing and bleaching: In industry, it is widely used for bleaching cotton fabrics, raw silk, wool, fur, feathers, hair, animal bones, ivory, fat, pulp, tombstones and other materials. Typically, 6% hydrogen peroxide or higher concentrations are important ingredients in hair dyes, acting as an oxidizing agent in combination with dyes, or used to break down the natural pigment (melanin) in the hair, thereby achieving hair bleaching (decolorization) or color development.
  5. Organic synthesis: Since the only product of H2O2 reduction is water, it is called a green and environmentally friendly (strong) oxidant and is widely used in the chemical industry related to oxidation reactions.
  6. Hydrogen peroxide food grade is used for food disinfection, bleaching, or preservation. Do not consume directly, and its use is subject to strict industry regulations.
We offer competitive Hydrogen peroxide price, and exclusive discounts for large quantities, helping you effectively reduce procurement costs.
