Hydroxylamine sulphate

Hydroxylamine sulfate CAS 10039-54-0

Sinochem is a major Hydroxylamine sulfate supplier. Meanwhile, our firm staffs a group of experts devoted to your development of China Hydroxylamine sulfate.

  • Highly Efficient Oxygen Scavenger: Rapidly removes dissolved oxygen in water treatment (especially in boiler feedwater or heating systems), preventing metal corrosion.
  • Volatile, No Solid Residue Formation: Hydroxylamine sulfate and its reaction products are generally volatile, unlike some traditional oxygen scavengers (such as sodium sulfite), which leave insoluble solid residues in boiler water systems, helping to keep boilers clean.
  • Lower Risk of Copper Alloy Corrosion: Compared to some traditional amine oxygen scavengers, it is less corrosive to copper-containing equipment, making it more suitable for systems containing copper alloy components.

Solubility: Soluble in water

Preparation Method: Methyl ethyl ketone reacts with sulfuric acid and ammonia to produce methyl ethyl ketone oxime, which is then reacted with sulfuric acid and hydrolyzed to produce hydroxylamine sulfate (crystalline form) and methyl ethyl ketone and ammonium sulfate as byproducts.

Sodium nitrite and ammonium bisulfite are mixed and reacted. Sulfur dioxide is introduced at low temperature to absorb the reactants to produce hydroxylamine disulfonate, which is then hydrolyzed to produce hydroxylammonium sulfate.

Hydroxylamine sulfate can also be produced by reacting sulfuric acid with nitrohydrocarbons.

Package:LDPE (low-density high-pressure polyethylene bag) 25kg/bag; 1 ton/pallet

Storage: This product is a strong acid. It decomposes quickly and is prone to explosion under alkaline conditions, releasing hydroxylamine. Therefore, it must be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry place away from alkaline substances. Protect from moisture and heat, and store and transport in accordance with regulations for toxic substances.

Safety Protection: Hydroxylamine and its salts are classified as poisons or highly toxic substances. They are irritating to the eyes and skin and are harmful if inhaled. Excessive ingestion can cause symptoms of blood poisoning, such as anemia, methemoglobin formation, and splenomegaly, and can also lead to thyroid dysfunction and damage to the nervous system. Workshops should be well ventilated, equipment should be airtight, and operators should wear protective gear.

About Us: With over many years as a certified Hydroxylamine sulfate manufacturer, we combine innovation with stringent production standards to deliver high-performance product.

Oxammonium sulfate Applications

  1. HAS can be used as a viscosity stabilizer for natural rubber and a non-staining shortstop for synthetic rubber.
  2. HAS derivatives are also used as vulcanizing agents. Its various properties, including its selective reaction with functional groups on textile fibers, make it useful as a dye improver, textile fade inhibitor, and modifier for acrylic and cellulose fibers.
  3. Other uses include resin modifiers, UV stabilizers, and polymerization catalysts.
  4. Due to its ability to reduce hydroxylamine sulfate and form metal complexes, HAS is used as a metal surface treatment agent, metal separation precipitant, metal extractant, and rust inhibitor.
  5. HAS, in the form of derivatives such as hydroxamic acid, hydroxyuric acid, carbamates, alkylhydroxylamines, oxadiazoles, and organophosphorus compounds, is used as a raw material for herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, acaricides, and other products.
