Isopentadiene Applications
1. It is primarily utilized in the production of synthetic isoprene rubber, with its output trailing only behind styrene-butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber, thereby securing the position of the third most prevalent synthetic rubber.
2. It serves as a copolymer with synthetic butyl rubber to enhance the vulcanization characteristics of butyl rubber, albeit in minor quantities, of isoprene.
