Storage: Maintain storage in a cool and well-ventilated facility, ensuring that the ambient temperature remains below 29℃. It is essential to keep the material away from any sources of ignition and heat. The packaging must be sealed and kept free from air exposure. Additionally, it is crucial to store the material apart from oxidizing agents, acids, halogens, and similar substances to prevent any potential reactions. Large quantities should not be stored, and long-term storage is discouraged. Utilize explosion-proof lighting and adequate ventilation systems. Avoid using mechanical devices and tools that could generate sparks. Moreover, the storage area must be equipped with emergency leak response materials and appropriate containment solutions.
Safety Protection: High concentrations of vapor have an anesthetic effect and can damage internal organs if taken orally. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 0.04 mg/L. Isopentadiene Applications

- Butyl Rubber (IIR) Modification: Co-polymerized with isobutylene (typically 1-3% isoprene content) to introduce unsaturation sites, significantly enhancing the vulcanization capabilities of butyl rubber for inner tubes and airtight liners.
- Thermoplastic Elastomers (SIS): Used to synthesize Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene block copolymers, widely applied in hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives, tackifiers, and elastic films.
