Properties: Colorless, transparent, slightly viscous liquid. Slightly sweet. Easy to absorb moisture. Miscible with water, glycerin, acetone, acetic acid, aldehydes, pyridine, ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, insoluble in benzene, petroleum ether, oils. Danger of contact with high heat or oxidants, may cause combustion and explosion. When exposed to high heat, the internal pressure of the container increases, and there is a risk of cracking and explosion.
Storage: Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Store separately from oxidants and acids, and do not mix. Firefighting equipment of corresponding types and quantities should be equipped. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate containment materials.
Due to its strong hygroscopicity, it should be stored in a sealed container and nitrogen should be used for long-term storage. It can be stored in iron, low carbon steel, copper or aluminum containers, with a net weight of 100 kg or 200 kg per barrel. For long-term storage, it should be sealed with nitrogen and protected from moisture, fire and freezing. It should be stored and transported in accordance with the regulations for flammable chemicals.
