Properties: Terephthalic acid is an important aromatic dicarboxylic acid with good chemical stability and high melting point. PTA has weak acidity and is soluble in hot water but has low solubility in cold water. Its chemical properties are relatively stable and it is not easy to react chemically at room temperature, but it can be oxidized at high temperature or react with alkaline substances to form corresponding salts.
