Properties: NaNO3 is a colorless, transparent rhombus crystal, or white or slightly yellow granules or powder at room temperature. It tastes salty and slightly bitter. It is easily deliquescent in moist air. It is very soluble in water, liquid ammonia and glycerol, but difficult to dissolve in ethanol, methanol, and very difficult to dissolve in acetone. When dissolved in water, the water temperature drops and the aqueous solution becomes neutral.
Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The temperature should not exceed 30℃ and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. It should be stored separately from reducing agents, active metal powders, acids, flammables, etc., and mixed storage is strictly prohibited. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to contain leaks.
