Solubility: Soluble in methanol, acetone, cyclohexane, ether and so on. Insoluble in water and petroleum solvents.
Properties: Tolyltriazole (TTA) is a white granule or powder. Tolyltriazole is a mixture of 4-methyl-benzotriazole and 5-methyl-benzotriazole. Its melting point is from 80℃ to 86℃, soluble in alcohol, benzene、 toluene、 chloroform, and watery lye, and hardly soluble in water.
Usage: Tolylbenzotriazole (TTA) is a corrosion inhibitor used primarily on copper and its alloys in applications such as coolants, metalworking fluids, and water treatment systems. It also can be used with manifold scale inhibitor and sterilization algaecide, it works as corrosion inhibitor very well especially in close cycle cooling water system.
